Rotten Bark

Rotten Bark: The origin of the name is too long and so complicated like toilet paper roll. It would be easier to say - the name is so awesome that it's origin isn't important at all (just like the origin of Chuck Norris's beard). The band, like fart, born from quick two gentlemen's decision who wanted to play together. I mean Adi and Peter. It was at the beginning of 2006. At that time there were 'Critical Mass' and Peter's indeterminated project. In summer of 2006 Struzio(bass guitar), Nazar(rhythm guitar) and Young(drums) joined to Peter(vocal) and Adi(vocal, lead guitar) forming a band. In this lineup they play their first concert (Okuninka at the 'White Lake' where Adi picked up nice cheesecake). In autumn Adi and Struzio focused on new album's recordings to 'Critical Mass' - metal band (yes, they skinned cats). Meanwhile Rotten Bark was on the margin. After few months (April 2007) Rotten Bark recorded first demo. Lineup changed. Nazar was replaced by Tolek and Young by Iras. Till the end of the year the band played couple of concerts. Some of those featured Nataka ('Don't Give Up' song - unofficial 'American Pie 69' anthem). In 2008 the band worked on the first album and lineup changed. In May Procent replaced Peter on vocal, but after 2 months there was another change. Drops (former member of group 'Better Than Nothing') became a new and final vocalist. In August the band recorded vocal tracks to a debut album (besides Adi's short porno movies episodes). Hardware failure was the cause of already recorded songs' utilization. That accident didn't make the band happy but also didn't influenced boys' sexual life (Tolek was ailling a bit, but generally everything's fine) and personal life. Next months were the period of metamorphosis - it was the time when current band's style formed. We are talking about music style, not the growing of some body part ;). Rotten Bark officialy became a pop punk band (at least it's the opinion of some rednecks). Boyz at last started to play concerts more often than one a year (for example - Country Hot Dog Festival 2009 in Vaubrich) Career's breakthrough took place in 30th of May 2009 when after concert in their hometown (Wlodawa) appeared Wojtek (he is so famous that he has no surname) and immediately he became the band's manager. Holiday abounded with concerts. Then first official video was made, but tapes disappeared somewhere in LGF's office and only what remained was short trailer on Youtube. Time was passing by and Drops's ass was so famous that many times it was written in boulevard press. It was mentioned even in 'Cosmopolitan'. At the end of holiday the band spent many hours in Mietek Jurecky's recording studio in Lublin. They made first single called Chillin' Out (with help of Cowtune). On the CD appeared old Rotten Bark song - Don't Give Up with featuring guest (Nataka - mentioned somewhere above) with whom they regularily play Beerpong game. Now, the band is working on new songs. They will enter the studio ('State Of Sound Studio' - btw. they have tv with porn channels there) on July to record their debut album.
