Vyvienne Long

Vyvienne Long is an Irish cellist. She is most famous for being a member of Damien Rice's band. She also plays the piano and sings. Vyvienne Long released her debut EP 'Birdtalk' in Ireland in October 2006. She played on all of Damien Rice's albums and in many of his live shows. She has played some solo gigs since 2005; her onstage band is made up of three cellos, piano, double bass and drums. She has a new album - Caterpillar Sarabande - includes the well known track 'Happy Thoughts'. Had a stellar gig in The Sugar Club in Dublin in February. Unusual and witty lyrics - and fantastic music.
