Vandavanda

VandaVanda was a Belgian pop group, which was formed during the popular VT4 program Popstars. This forerunner of other talent shows like (American) Idol and Star Academy followed the search for a new, mixed pop group. As winners off this show, Karolien Quintens (Karo), Tiziana Scapin (Titi), Iris Van Hoof, Frederic Godecharle and Hans De Jonghe were chosen to form a band. After this victory, they signed a record deal with Warner Music and she immediately scored a # 1 hit with their first single Sunshine After The Rain. Afterwards, the group also scored a few minor hits and they brought a fairly successful first album. In 2002 they took part in the pre selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. Previously they were tipped as one of the top favourites, but the group eventually got not even the final. Shortly thereafter, the record deal between Warner and the group broken.
