This Frontier Needs Heroes is the American Folk duo of brother-sister Brad and Jessica Lauretti. Listening to This Frontier Needs Heroes is like having Brad and Jessica play in your backyard while the sun comes up. They play intimate, striped down songs full of honest personal stories of love, loss and longing for a better world. Both poetic and rowdy, Brad and Jessica will make you laugh and cry with their raw powerful delivery and delicate harmonies. Their 2009 debut release "This Frontier Needs Heroes" received much acclaim from NPR, Time Out New York, Time Out London and Decider. They received a new level of attention with enthusiastic blog coverage from around the globe and hundreds of shows across the US and UK including dates with Tallest Man on Earth, The Handsome Family and the End of the Road Festival. In 2010, the Heroes began a Kickstarter campaign and raised over $5,000 from fans to support their next record. With the support of their growing fan base, they went back into the studio and began recording. They are set to release a new single on Itunes on 7/6/10, "Just Because", which features Brad and Jessica with a full band and is in response to the catastrophic oil spill that has rocked the Gulf Of Mexico. This summer they will be touring beaches along the US East/Gulf Coast with Arbouretum, She Keeps Bees, and the Naked Hearts and are returning to Europe for dates with Kath Bloom including Solfest, Shambala, and End of the Road.
