Биография Theo De Barros
Born in Rio de Janeiro (Mar 10, 1943) , he wrote his first song in his teens, and at age 19, singer Alaíde Costa had already recorded two of his compositions: "Natureza" and "Igrejinha". Barros recorded his debut single in 1963 (featuring "Vim de Santana" and "Fim"), and joined the Sexteto Brasileiro de Bossa playing the double-bass that same year. He moved to São Paulo, working at nightclubs, and started to enjoy some recognition when Elis Regina recorded his samba "Menino das Laranjeiras", in 1965. Next year, he wrote what would become his biggest hit, "Disparada", with Geraldo Vandré. The song went national when Jair Rodrigues recorded it. Barros was the musical director of numerous theater productions made in the 60s, such as "Arena Canta Zumbi". Barros wrote the music score of the film "Quelé do Pajeú". In 1979, he released the double-album "Primeiro Disco" and produced various others. He intensified his work as an arranger and started writing jingles in the 80s.
