Scotty Anderson

Hailed by Guitar One magazine as one of “America’s 10 Best Unknown Guitarists,” Anderson has recorded three CDs to date, two of which are available through J Curve Records and from www.scottyandersonguitar.com. Born in 1954, this Cincinnati based player grew up in a musical family. His early musical influences are Chet Atkins, Jimmy Bryant, Buddy Emmons and Leon Rhodes among others. In addition to recording, Scotty worked for Yamaha throughout the 1980s and ‘90s, performing at NAMM shows and clinics across the country. His concert performances have included playing for the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society in Paris, the Massachusetts Folk Festival in Boston, and opening up for the Doobie Brothers. He has recently released a DVD entitled Working WIthout a Net, available on his website.
