Биография Ralfe Band
Ralfe Band are a British band started by songwriter Oly Ralfe and drummer Andrew Mitchell and has included various other members.
Their debut album ‘Swords’ was released in UK in 2005 by Skint Records and elsewhere in Europe in 2007 by Talitres Records, with bonus tracks. The second album ‘Attic Thieves’ was released in 2008 by Loose and Talitres Records.
The band have toured across Europe and performed on two main stages at the Glastonbury Festival as well as at festivals as far flung as Istanbul and Ireland.
An animated video for the single ‘Women of Japan’ directed by Nigel Coan and Ivana Zorn won Best Music Video at South By Southwest film festival in 2006. It was based on drawings made by Oly Ralfe, who also creates all artwork imagery used for album and single releases.
Ralfe Band created the soundtrack for the British feature film Bunny and the Bull which was released in November 2009.
Ralfe Band is often associated with the British comedy group The Mighty Boosh. They did perform few times during one of the Boosh live tours. The whole band appears in the Old Gregg episode of The Mighty Boosh second TV series, while Oly Ralfe has made few more appearances in some other episodes. He has directed a documentary about The Mighty Boosh Live Tour 2009, called The Journey of The Childmen. He also did some artwork for The Mighty Book of Boosh.
