Known to his admirers as Q, Quinnes Parker is one fourth of the famed R&B group 112. With a myriad of success as a member of the group that includes a Grammy, an MTV Music Award and numerous accolades, Q is poised to embark on his first solo project “Real Talk.” Just how “real” is it you ask? “Music is truly about an experience and it is extremely important how it is delivered and received. I want to convey what most have grown to love from me and introduce those who may not have experienced the true essence of R&B to the days when it was all about the song and its delivery.” Q, established his own production company, NeWFAM Entertainment, which specializes in the development and exposure of new talent. In 2007, he decided to team up with music industry heavy-weight and president of Drift City Records, Ian Burke to release his solo debut under the imprint NeWFAM Entertainment/Drift City Records. Burke states, “Q and I have known each other for years and we both have been looking for an opportunity to collaborate. When the companies began working together, there was an instant synergy, I’m very excited to be apart of his solo project, its going to be a grand event.” Q’s recent performance at Atlanta hot-spot, Sugarhill, is proof that he has transformed from a track artist to a live artist. Q brings a remarkable blend of harmony and a lyrical brilliance that is unparalleled. Leaked versions of “Never Let You Go” and “Holla Atcha” featuring rapper Plies have already created a strong internet buzz due to the increased anticipation of Q’s solo debut. Q, an accomplished award winning writer has worked on the projects of firstrate musicians like Faith Evans, New Edition, Pink, Kelly Price, Kevin Little, Keyshia Cole and of course the Grammy award winning 112! He has received six ASCAP awards for his writing contributions on 112’s “Peaches & Cream”, “Cupid” and “It’s Over Now.” Q, some argue the most popular member from 112, won increased fan fare from his appearance on MTV’s Cribs where he proudly beamed over his new family and fetish for high end automobiles. Jezebel Magazine named him one of the 50 Most Beautiful Atlantans. From the studio to the stage and everything in between, Q is the definition of what it means to create, interpret and translate a song. He believes, “there is no comparison to a great song, but above that, there is definitely no comparison to a great song being put forth by an artist with the perfect understanding of what that song needs. At the end of the day, this is what makes it ‘real’.” Q Parker is all about staying true to the music and his craft. Not only is this fact very apparent, it is also “Real Talk.”
