Oceans Upon Us

Oceans Upon Us are an English five-piece post-hardcore band from Southend, Essex. They formed in March 2008 and play regularly across the south of England. The quintet recorded their debut release in March 2008 in Wales with Neak Young (The Future, Hondo Maclean, Vero, Fei Comodo, From Almost The End) entitled Lest We Forget and was released on 6 June 2008. The band's sophomore released entitled The Last Word is set to be released on 22 January 2010 and the title track is penned for a digital release on 7 December 2009. On the 14th December Oceans Upon Us posted a blog entitled The Final Chapter on their Myspace, telling fans that they had decided to go their separate ways. "Unfortunately, after a year and a half of playing together Oceans have decided to call it a day. Its not been a decision that has been taken lightly and in all honesty, the worst part about this is letting down the people that have been there for us and helped us over the last year and a half. We are all going to sorely miss performing the songs we've worked on and hearing them sung back at us! But we've decided that due to differences in the band, we'll all be happier within ourselves and with each other if Oceans comes to an end."
