1. Alonzo Mario Stevenson (born September 3, 1981 in Los Angeles, California), better known by his stage name Novel, is an American singer-songwriter, rapper and producer signed to Capitol Records. Novel has collaborated with artists such as Lauryn Hill, Talib Kweli, Robin Thicke and Alicia Keys, and had plans to release his debut album The Word in 2002, but it was cancelled. Since then he has released his debut EP I Am... (Future Black President), three mixtapes, a collaboration mixtape with Joell Ortiz, and is now set to release his debut LP Audiobiography sometime in 2010. He is the grandson of legendary R&B artist Solomon Burke. 2. The Band’s dream starts on the 4th of July of 1999 in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, with only one mission in mynd, to write and play their own music. Oscar, Carlos and Kevin met when they were really young and on one sleepless night they decide they would love to start a band and play in it, neither Carlos or Kevin knew how to play an instrument, they threw a coin toss and decided that one would play the bass and the other one the drums, with time they decided to let Alejandro “Carica” play the other guitar, back in that day the band was called C3. In time the band started to gain some respect and started playing in several clubs, in 2002 “Carica” leaves the band and David “Vito” comes into the picture giving their music another twist, they changed their name to Nobel in honor of the park where they’ve met for over 15 years, later on they registered the name NOVEL which had a significant and real meaning which was “New, Rookies”, as day pass by more and more people like their music and their dreams. Half way into 2004 Raul “Rulo” joins the band , they start joining rock stars as they define their stile as “Latin Punk”, a unique style where the happiness of punk rock meets the flavor of latin rhytims. An incredible accomplishment for the band, is , that for over a year their single “Volvamos a Empezar” has maintained a high status on the radios, this single came out of a previously recorded demo, without the backup of a music video or a record label, the band managed to consolidate as one of the best new promises of the Newcomers of Monterrey. The members of the band are: Oscar De La Garza (Vocals and Guitar), David De La Garza (Guitar), Carlos Hernandez (Bass), Adrain Garza (Percussions and Raul Garcia (Drums).
