LaiF hails from Baltimore, Maryland - home of the Wire. LaiF became known for his rhythmic flow, versatility in subject matter, and unconventional approach to writing and recording. He has been heralded by other artists as one of the greatest story tellers in rap. In 1998, he released a song called "Egyptian Nights" to several internet outlets. The song garnered a fair amount of attention and gained LaiF a small following that has not dissipated to this day.
