Jerrra Blues

Alyona Ivleva (Jerrra Blues) was born in Kazan, Russia on July 26th 1987.

At the age of 13 she starts writing poems and songs in Russian. Takes acting and dancing classes (e.i. modern dance, choreography, break-dance).

After school graduation in 2004 she works as a free-lance journalist for a local news paper. During one of interviews about Kazan Rap Industry she links up with a small Hip-Hop label and very soon records her first tracks in style of Soul/Hip-Hop.

From 2005 to 2009 she constantly performs in local night clubs, successfully participates in National Rap competitions, and collaborates with different hip-hop artists in Tatarstan.

In June 2009 Jerrra graduates from Academy for International Tourism and heads to USA to pursue her music career.

During her 1st year in US she is getting used to new surrounding and mentality, works at many different jobs, goes to tons of castings, registers on all possible talent searching networks and websites, performs at Open Mics and art showcases in NYC.

In December 2010 she records her 1st English song “Rooted to you” at KimAudio studio in Brooklyn.

In January 2011 Jerrra quits all her day-time jobs and dedicates herself fully on music.

In March 2011 Jerrra recorded her 2nd English song “Keeping me high”. Now the word start to spread among Russian Brooklyn crowd.

Summer 2011 she works on a project with NYC dj/beat maker Mr Law (Stellas&Dutches). As a result – new great dubstep remake of old Babe I’m Gonna Leave You song.

Same fall she releases her first music video for “Keeping me High” with big success on YouTube.

Then she puts a 6 piece band together and starts touring NYC and surrounding areas. Band constantly performs in NY, PA, NJ areas. They participate in “Make Music NY” Summer Festival with 3 shows a day, and perform on Cutting Edge Music Conference in New Orleans.

July 2012 in Illusion Night Club Jerrra Blues presents her new video for “Follow Me” which receives great feedback from fans and collegues.

Meanwhile Jerrra Blues works with beat makers – Dj UraGun, Mangee, Zloy, OneMoment and drum&bass/dub project with Sludge Phonik. Collaborates with BK Undgrnd, Ms Mahogani Brown, OneWay, Boshia.

Interviews and songs in rotation at Butterflies Radio, Radio Positiv, Bud and Roach Show, Rok Out Radio, DTF Radio.

In December 2012 – “Soul Inspirer” 10 track album is finally released and now available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Last.Fm and many other digital retailers.
