Impirio

Ronnie Barron a.k.a. Impirio was born December 18, 1984 on the south side of Chicago. At the age of 2 he moved to a small suburb, Harvey, that was both violent and drug infested. During this time Impirio witnessed many of his close relatives get locked up and murdered. It was at this time that Impirio decided that he was going to take a different route with his life; he was determined not to follow in their footsteps. After living in Harvey for three years Impirio moved to Mississippi where he developed an attitude. He always wanted to be the best that he could be so he studied his hobbies. His first love was football but after playing for so long he decided it wasn’t what he really wanted his life to be about. After he decided he no longer wanted to play football he started studying rap. Impirio wanted to make sure that he could bring it the best he could so he practiced daily. In 2000 Impirio felt that he was ready to go to his cousin’s and start battling and just rap with his friends in general. Due to the heavy traffic of drug dealers running in and out of his house he moved into his aunt’s house for the first two years of high school. He was so determined, and still is, on becoming a rapper that he wrote rhymes during school, rapped during lunch, and rapped after school in his aunt’s basement with a boom box and a beat in the background. After two years of rapping and gaining people’s respect in the neighborhood Impirio’s mom surprised him by buying a house in the suburbs, which helped him focus on his school work more. He was already two years behind at this point but managed to focus and work hard enough to graduate. After high school Impirio wanted to attend IPR, the Institution of Production and Recording, but the school had just opened and had no financial aid. He was so determined to pursue his rap career that he worked all summer just to save up a thousand dollars so that he could go buy his own equipment. He practiced for four years on his mixing skills before he got to a point where he felt comfortable with them so he started mixing some of his and his friend’s music. After awhile Impirio got sick of making music in the house so he started going to house parties to play his music. In early 2006 Impirio did a few songs with Emazin that was later put onto iTunes, All Hood, Where You At, & Make Moves. When Impirio started going to house parties he met someone from the Long D.O.E. camp. In 2007 Impirio was introduced to Long D.O.E. Records. He started going to their show’s here and there and eventually did a song with one of the Long D.O.E. members, at the time, which Tony Bones and Big Wiz heard and liked a lot. After hearing that song they asked Impirio to join the Long D.O.E. camp. After doing a couple shows with Long D.O.E. everything came together. Impirio now has a mixtape out called No Dayz Off, he has a downloadable mixtape coming out late July called I Got Lost 16’s Zip Tape, and also he has another mixtape coming out in mid august called No Dayz Off part 2. Impirio has had his song, Nice Sweet Sexy featuring Cru and produced by DLFX, on TV show’s such as Gossip Girl, Making the Band 4, Real World, Road Rules v. Real World, and E!’s Candy Girl’s.
