Ida Gard

Ever since Ida Gard started playing the piano at age 9 she knew that music was what she was meant to do. She spent hours every day playing music from The Beatles, Cat Stevens and Frank Sinatra to old Danish psalms and English Christmas songs. She taught herself the melodies and soon had a big and very varied repetoire. These evergreens were stored inside her and serves as inspiration still.
It took a 1st prize win in a talent-competition on the biggest radio station in Denmark for Ida Gard to realize exactly how much potential she had as a solo artist. Until then she had been singing and writing songs for different bands and other projects and kept her own songs private. But with the sudden exposure and a massive response to her first single «On His Knees» she decided to accept the challenge and start living her dream.
The debut album will be released in 2011.
