The Freemasons are a dance / house / electronica production team from England. The act consists of DJ/Producer/composer/remixers Russell Small and James Wiltshire. The duo have become one of the most successful dance acts in the UK thanks to their remixes of major artists like Beyonce and Faith Evans as well as their own productions for which they have earned three 20 top hits. In 2005 the duo transformed Jackie Moore's 1979 #1 Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play track "This Time Baby" and Tina Turner's 2000 hit "When The Heartache Is Over" into an international club smash as "Love On My Mind". The song, which sampled the Moore track, but whose lyrics "I've Got Love On My Mind, Ain’t no use in me wastin’ time..."(The opening lyrics on the Moore single) and "When The Heartache Is Over, I Know I Won't Be Missing You" (The chorus from Turner's tune) was sung repeatedy by British singer Amanda Wilson, reached the top 10 of both the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play and Dance Top 40 charts (where it reached #2 on the latter) in the United States. They were also the remixers on Faith Evans 2005 #1 Hot Dance Music/Club Play and #4 Dance Top 40 hit "Mesmerized". The act's follow-up, "Watchin'", also with Amanda Wilson, was released in the United States in 2006. Freemasons released their third single "Rain Down Love" in early 2007 which features Siedah Garret as the lead vocalist. The duo have also had huge plaudits for their remixes of Beyonce's Deja Vu, Ring The Alarm, Beautiful Liar and Greenlight. Officially released 2-disc album "Shakedown" on december 4th, 2006 In addition, they have since remixed Kelly Rowland's 'Work' and released a remix of The Alanis Morisette track Uninvited which featured in the film City of Angels; in December 2007 with Bailey Tzuke, which have both been UK Top 10 Hit Singles "Unmixed" Is the latest album from the band released on 29 October 2007. The album differs from the first as tracks are not mixed but instead are full length.
