Биография Freaky Age
Freaky Age are an alternative rock band from Brussels who have been hitting Belgium hard in the past year with their energetic rock n’ roll and explosive live shows. Boring indie this is not. With an average age of 17, they have already gained enviable success: a testament to the maturity of their craft, despite their young age.
In April 2008, they released self-produced debut album ‘Every Morning Breaks Out’ on V2 Records and spent the rest of the year playing more than 120 gigs in Belgium, France and Holland, including prominent festivals such as Pukkelpop and Les Ardentes. A weekly series, by music channel Jim TV, followed the band on tour throughout the Summer festival season.
The band have built up a solid and increasing fanbase; and Radio, TV and Press attention has been huge with debut single ‘Time Is Over’ charting at Number 5 on Studio Brussel (equivalent to BBC Radio 1); second single ‘Where Do We Go Now’ spending 4 weeks at Number 1 (23 weeks in the charts in total) and Third single ‘Every Morning Breaks Out’ currently achieving similar success.
Being nominated under Best Alternative Band, Best Breakthrough and Best Song on the Music Industry Awards (MIA’s) and under Best Rock, Best New Band and Best Song on the MTV/TMF Awards
2009 offers up an equally busy year for the band with more gigs, festivals, an upcoming single release and second album in the pipeline. Also, end of February MTV/TMF took the band on a 5-day trip to Austria with winning fans for TV Show Totally Snow.
