Chi Coltrane

Chi Coltrane (born on Nov 16, 1948 in Racine, Wisconsin) was an American singer/songwriter who entered the charts in many countries with her eponymous debut album by November of 1972. She had already achieved some succes with her debut single 'Thunder and Lightning' earlier that year. Afterwards she gained some attention with her gospel-influenced singles 'Go Like Elijah' and 'You Were My Friend' (taken from the same album) as well. Chi Coltrane has returned with a full length CD (Yesterday, Today & Forever) that combines her "later years" greatest hits with three new recordings.
