Bobby Gordon

Bobby Gordon creates on his clarinet the most beautiful plaintive sound I have ever heard. He is very shy and reserved, reflecting his playing. Bobby says what he has to say through his music. He can play exciting up-tempo clarinet and has a plesant singing voice , but for a slow ballad, he’s my man. Bobby started out working and studying with the great jazz clarinetist Joe Marsala, who was a friend of his father, a well known recording executive. His style lends itself to small jazz groups and for the past 40 years he has preformed in important jazz clubs all over the country, Jim Cullum’s in San Antonio, Condon’s in NYC and for 10 years Mulligan’s in San Diego, as well as jazz parties all over the world.
