Aphyxion

Playing metal for the love of playing metal – nothing more, nothing less. It’s all about the music – and they sure as hell love it! Combining a mix of genres like melodic, heavy, oldschool and newschool deathmetal, APHYXION has managed to gather a rather good reputation in the underground scene of Denmark. Still in the age of 15-16, still ripping off heads and still havin’ a blast.

APHYXION came to be in the late 2006, highly influenced by the Danish metal scene. Bands like Submission (R.I.P.), Invisius, synthetic torture, Soilwork, Dawn Of Demise, The Arcane Order and many others, were some of the main influences at that time – and with such influences, APHYXION were determined to make a unique, ass-kicking and powerful act on the Danish Metal Scene. They recorded their first EP at RIAMUFs studio, Jeppe Andersson handled the mixing and mastering at Hansen Studios, and Eradication of Fates EP finally landed on the streets on 9th of June 2009.

Demo of the Month in GAFFA, a nomination for “The Jack” (aka. Live Metal Band of the Year) at the Danish Metal Awards, 2. Place at the Royal Metal Grand Prix, and lots of others stuff. That was 2009, and what APHYXIONs old EP brought them – time has passed, and now they’re ready to annihilate 2010 with their new EP, Obliteration of the Weak, recorded at Hansen Studios and RIAMUF, mixed and mastered by Jeppe Andersson!

Make no mistake – age doesn’t matter when you play metal. APHYXION has to come to stay, and they’re going to show you that with their new EP, Obliteration of the Weak, out now!
