Alfa Eridano Akhernar

Formed in 1999 and after a lot of lineup changes, Alfa Eridano Akhernar keeps untouched their creative essence and attitude. After two demos (Demo 1999 and Demo 2002) the first full-length “The Magnificent Rebirth of a Mighty Old Empire” was released under the label Concreto Records. Many positive reviews on national and international underground were received.
Raising the banner of what we have called “Aztec War Metal” –a voracious mixture of Blackened Death Metal with prehispanic mythology and warrior race allusive lyrics– the band was consolidated in the Mexican scene as strong proposal without concessions in the gregarious aspect of fashion and musical topics, always betting for an honest sacrament of integrity and dedication to the creative act.
In 2005 the demo “Monumental Expression of Hate” was recorded and released as Split with Nibiruth (Argentina). The second full-length “Aberrant Hate Icon”, a furious demonstration of extreme melodies that combines a powerful production with Norberto Cuevas (Templo del Sol – Azul Estudios) as producer, was released in 2007.
After a lot of shows “The Myth” was born in 2010. This third album is a landmark in speed, lyrics and experimentation of the band. Clearly a visceral and forthright work that shows with facts the delivery in music, because a 95% was recorded live.
Between 2012 and 2013 the band enters into a renewal stage. From the entrails of Alfa Eridano Akhernar the fourth full-length called “Aztec War Metal” has emerged. For this one the same formula as for the previous was used (recorded live almost entirely in Azul Estudios), but offering better results in terms of sound quality and power. It is expected that this album is released in the first half of 2014 under the labels Concreto Records/Ablaze Productions. It will be accompanied by the recording of the first official video of the band and dates around the country, and probably South America or Europe, proving once again the clear path of constancy and loyalty to the Aztec War Metal.
