Aaron Petrie

Aaron Petrie is a Canadian singer/songwriter born in Hamilton, Ontario. At eighteen, between self discovery and academics, he enjoys writing music in isolation to pass time. Throughout his childhood, Petrie received training in classical piano and studied musical theory. Into his teen years, he picked up guitar and began to produce music at home, composing well over one hundred songs in four quick years. With various projects today and big ideas for tomorrow, you can rest assured that you'll see his name more often. “As I progressed as a musician, I began to notice that words on paper transformed into something relatable and self defining.” It has been noted by many that a sense of honesty shines through his words. He often delivers messages in an 'in your face' fashion, using metaphors to his advantage. Stylistically, his music fluctuates. He denies being influenced by a single genre, stating that his interests “lay all over the map.” “I'm not looking to get signed.
