A Day Overdue

2009 was a year of mixed emotions for Edinburgh based five-piece A Day Overdue. After a scintillating start to their career as a band which brought support slots with the likes of My Passion, Summerlin, The Gap Year Riot and Jakil and the release of not one but two EP's, the boys seemed to have the world at their feet. After a winter which included illness, lineup changes, financial ruin and the near-break up of the band, ADO are back with new songs, new band members, and an unfaltering commitment to achieve their dreams. Summer 2010 sees the release of the band's first full length, titled "Secrets". Eleven songs which capture everything the band have been through together, and come out the other side of. The band's signature sound has always been built around a "don't bore us - get to the chorus" songwriting style, but "Secrets" sees A Day Overdue grow into their own skin with a beautifully dark yet pop-hook orientated record which somehow never loses sight of the band's enduring positivity. Despite the best efforts of the Royal Bank of Scotland and various other financial institutions, every spare penny the band have goes back into doing what they love - performing.
