3CE

3CE is one-man musical extravaganza. His style is all over the charts, usually blending rap with some other form of popular music. 3CE, pronounced "Threece," released his debut album 3CE: THE THIRD EDITION, at the beginning of 2004. Now in 2009, 3CE has released a total of 6 albums, selling tens of thousands of physical cds, and over 100,000 downloads via iTunes, Rhapsody, 3CEmusic.com and many other platforms across the internet. 3CE first gained popularity in early 2006, selling his first 10,000 cds directly from his myspace page before being deleted by myspace officials for "over-promotion" and "excessive sales activity" on the site. This was obviously a huge setback for the young artist, given that he had spent over 2 years building up a fan base of well over 250,000 myspace friends and even hitting #1 on the international unsigned music charts, just above the iconic Tila Tequila. Ironically, within hours of topping the myspace charts, 3CE was removed from myspace and banned from selling any more music through the website. The next 2-3 years were extremely difficult as 3CE struggled to find an equivalent marketing platform from which to promote his music. In the summer of 2007, 3CE was driven to the famous Venice Beach boardwalk after being fired from a string of unsuccessful employment endeavours. At the beach, he performed live acoustic guitar versions of his songs everyday for months, selling thousands of dollars of music just to survive, all the while hoping to catch the attention of the local music industry.
